Raymond Goldsworthy, PhD, associate professor of research otolaryngology – head and neck surgery at the Keck School, has dedicated his scientific career to helping the hearing impaired. Now, he is launching a research project aimed at helping people reliant on cochlear implants to be able to hear music.

NIH funding for USC Alzheimer's research grew by more than 400% in four years

Last year, USC received $68 million in funding from the National Institutes of Health — the world's largest public funder of biomedical research — for research efforts focused on Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. This is more than five times the $13 million amount granted in 2015.
