In the first of a series of articles chronicling the efforts of Keck Medicine staff to respond to the outbreak, HSC News spoke with front-line nurses and their department leadership to learn how they're adjusting at every level.

Robert Ryu named chair of Department of Radiology

Robert Ryu, MD, has been recruited to serve as the chair of the Department of Radiology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, effective May 1. Coming from the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Ryu is "delighted" to return to the health system where he completed his radiology residency.

Match Day goes on: Students celebrate virtually after residency placement

Exercising the kind of caution that has proven necessary over the past few weeks, students at the Keck School stayed home, awaited emails telling them where they would be matched for residency programs and found ways to celebrate remotely.

Keck Medicine has seen a surge of much-needed support from across USC as different schools and departments have pitched in to construct face shields, sew protective masks and to offer extra supplies such as safety goggles and hand sanitizer.
