Sarah Van Orman awarded Presidential Medallion for advancing USC's values in the field of student health

Since 1983, USC has awarded the Presidential Medallion to people who have brought honor and distinction to the university community. This year, three members of the Trojan Family were honored by USC President Carol L. Folt. Sarah Van Orman, MD, MMM, chief medical officer for USC Student Health, was among the distinguished recipients.

American Pharmacists Association honors USC with Immunization Champion Award

The USC School of Pharmacy has collaborated with the Office of Mayor Eric Garcetti since September 2020 by providing free flu shots at COVID-19 testing sites across the city, and USC pharmacists took a lead role when California's first COVID-19 vaccination site opened three months later. Last week, the American Pharmacists Association honored the partnership with its Immunization Champion Award.
