Testing program underscores effective safety measures across health system for COVID-19

Results are in for the health system's Prevalence Pilot Program, which reflects COVID-19 testing results among Keck Medical Center of USC health care workers. Conducted over a four-week period in May and June, the program showed infection and antibody rates that were significantly lower than that of the community.

Chris Allen steps into the role of interim CFO

On June 22, Chris Allen transitioned from his role as executive administrator for financial planning and decision support at Keck Medicine to that of interim chief financial officer for the organization. A graduate of University of Georgia, Allen brings more than 20 years of finance leadership in health care operations to the job.

For the Keck School Human Rights Clinic, every day is World Refugee Day

Los Angeles has one of the largest populations of asylum seekers in the country. They're typically fleeing from violence, human trafficking and persecution in their home countries. In an effort to help them through the system, the Keck School Human Rights Clinic offers forensic medical and psychological evaluations to these survivors of human rights abuses.

Researcher recognized for advancing pediatrics in physical therapy

For as long as she can remember, Stacey Dusing, PhD, PT, has felt a calling to help children. Her lifelong dedication was recently rewarded when she was named a Catherine Worthingham Fellow by the American Physical Therapy Association for her unwavering efforts to advance physical therapy research in pediatrics.
