Marty Sargeant has been named CEO of Keck Medical Center of USC, comprising Keck Hospital of USC and USC Norris Cancer Hospital. He has served as interim CEO since July 2020 and will begin his new role immediately, announced Rod Hanners, CEO of Keck Medicine of USC.

The BetterTogether.Health coalition has announced its newest campaign with a mission to convince Angelenos to put health first and access care when needed. The public service educational campaign features everyday patient heroes with the theme: "Get Back to Your Doctor. Your Health. Your Joy. Because We Love a Healthy L.A."

USC environmental health sciences research center awarded $8 million NIH grant

USC's hub for environmental health sciences research has secured a key grant to continue its work in Los Angeles and beyond well into 2025. The Southern California Environmental Health Sciences Center received a five-year, $8 million grant from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month kicks off with community campaign encouraging screenings

USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and USC Verdugo Hills Hospital partnered with community organizations during Breast Cancer Awareness Month to encourage people of color to get a mammogram. The campaign, which includes a flyer, infographic and videos from USC Norris physicians and a patient, kicked off Oct. 1.
